A shared-screen page titled with the closeout, the permit, and a filed month.

Restaurant Books CleanupWho reads the Saturday sheet with you

The closeout is on a shared screen. The dining room stays yours. A visit is not required.

Ask who reads it

The record.

This address is the phrase an owner types when Saturday's drawer and the bank will not tell one story. Steven Palmieri reads that close on a shared screen. The footer lists the phone, which is the number for that screen. A visit to the dining room is not required.

A cleanup keeps the old walls and changes the labels. The point of sale can stay. The labels have to start meaning what the returns will ask. Food, the bar, the card, and the deposit are four meanings. A drawer that learned one of them and kept calling the others sales is the change this hour is for on the books.

Menu clicks inside accounting software are a different phrase and a different site, and they are not linked from here. The page still helps if nothing is bought.

What the hour will and will not cover.

The hour covers a closeout an owner can read, the permit that decides beer and wine, and whether a filed month stays put. Attest work is named only on the disclosures page, and only to point it somewhere else.

Payroll is set up with the provider the restaurant already runs. The pay run is not part of the hour. Counts come before a price. Locations, months since the four totals agreed, state drink filings, gift cards booked as sales, and whether Form 8027 exists.

The shared screen is the whole visit. We do not ask for a dining room walkthrough or for a login we keep. You stay with the drawer. We stay with the labels. If a month is already filed, we say whether it stays filed before anyone opens it again. If the four totals already agree, we say that too, and the hour can end there.

What to have open on the screen.

Have last Saturday's closeout open, or the month that stopped agreeing. Food, the bar, cards still owed, and the deposit after the processor fee are enough. The processor total and the bank line can sit side by side even when they do not match. A gift card balance, if the point of sale shows one, belongs in that same view.

The hour covers those four labels, the permit that decides beer and wine, and whether a filed month stays put. It does not walk the dining room. It does not run payday. The hour stops at handing payday to the provider already on the wall. No percent of Saturday sales is offered as a savings number on this hour.

Attest work is named only on the disclosures page, and only so it can be sent to a firm that signs it. You can leave with the four labels named and hire no one. If the four totals already agree, the hour ends on that sentence.

A login we keep is not required. You stay on the drawer. We stay on the labels. The screen is shared for the hour and then it is yours again. Bring the sheet even when one line is blank. A blank line is more useful than a story about what the line used to say.

Ask what happens after a closeout is sent.

Say whether you are bringing last Saturday, a zero bar month, or a return already filed.
